Zest is a people and work design agency. We help organisations get more out of their people, systems and technology through People Partnering, HR Technology & Analytics, and Work Design & Transformation.

Our clients are growing, and we're building a bench of experienced contract People Partners to work with us. This is an Expression of Interest, not a single vacancy. We'll match work to your availability and strengths as it comes up. That could mean covering a client during peak periods or leave, supporting a specific engagement, or taking on ongoing partnering work where it suits both of us.

Job Description

The work

  • Acting as an extension of our clients' leadership teams, giving practical, commercially grounded advice across the employee lifecycle
  • Employee relations, performance management, recruitment, workforce planning, engagement and organisational change
  • Spotting risks and opportunities in client organisations and helping leaders act on them
  • For those interested: project work such as work design, workforce planning, organisational change or HR technology

Desired Skills and Experience

What you'll bring

  • Solid experience in HR, people and culture, or business partnering roles, ideally in consulting or multi-client environments
  • Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES and modern awards. Familiarity with WA's state system is a real plus
  • The judgment to work on your own and the confidence to advise senior leaders
  • Advice that fits each client rather than coming from a template
  • Experience across several industries, including complex industrial environments, is valued
  • Comfort with technology and AI-enabled ways of working
